Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by Jana over on that artsy reader girl, which features a different bookish theme every week. This week’s theme is: close your eyes and point randomly at books in your shelves, or use a random number generator, and post the first ten books you choose.
Number 1
Second Glance
Jodi Picoult

Format: Paperback
Status: tbr
Comment: This is on my shelf because I aim to read, and own, Picoult’s full catalogue of published works.

Number 2
The Heart of the Matter
Graham Greene

Format: Paperback
Status: tbr
Comment: I don’t remember where, when, or why I acquired this, but it’s on my shelf, so I’ll read it at some point.

Number 3
Arabian Nights / Aesop’s Fables

Format: Hardcover
Status: tbr
Comment: I don’t remember where, when, or why I acquired this, but I’ve had it for what seems like forever. It’s one of those flippy books where one story reads in one direction, then you flip it over to read the other story in the other direction.

And now, I’ll leave you with a little teaser from one of my current reads as part of Teaser Tuesday, hosted by The Purple Booker:
The first hit occurred on the night of Sunday, August 3, at a restaurant called Max Fim, where a group of men armed with AK-47s shot to death Alfonso Corral Olague, a thirty-six-year-old man from Durango and an alleged collaborator of the Juárez Cartel. Five others died in the shootout: one of Corral’s girlfriends, one of his guards and three innocent bystanders, including a couple eating at an adjacent table. It was clear that new rules had been set. The government’s number one rule — keeping violence out of the public eye — was no longer going to be followed.
— The Story of Vicente, Who Murdered His Mother, His Father, and His Sister: Life and Death in Juárez by Sandra Rodríguez Nieto, p. 26

The Extraordinary Life Of Auden Dare intrigues me.

I only know of The Fever King, I even tried it. But it involved too much physics for me, I didn’t understand it. Especially not as English is not my first language.

I’ve read the Jodi Picoult book (I’m also a fan!), but that’s it from your list.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
